Center for Cybersecurity Education
Vision
Mission
The mission of the Center for Cybersecurity Education (CCE) is to educate cybersecurity and information assurance knowledge through the center, events, and classes. The CCE will collaborate with area agencies, businesses, and other organizations to promote awareness of cybersecurity issues. The CCE will also work to develop a strong cybersecurity workforce in Central Alabama by supporting and promoting Jefferson State Community College’s AAS degree and certificate programs in Networking.
Guidance
Jefferson State Community College’s Cybersecurity advisory committee is composed of representatives from different industries who are aware of, and interested in, the local and global situations in cybersecurity and together with college administrators and instructors, lend their efforts toward:
- assisting the college in organizing its cybersecurity educational curricula.
- acquainting the college with current practices and developments within the cybersecurity profession.
- acting as advisors to generally guide training to fit the current needs of cybersecurity communities and industries.
