What is DegreeWorks?
- Degree Works is a list of the classes needed to earn your degree. Login to myJSCC and click on Degree Works to view the list of courses. Degree Works is a great tool to use along with Alabama Transfers and an academic advisor to keep you on track to earning your degree!
What is a Transfer Program?
- Associate in Science degree programs for students who plan to earn an associate degree at Jefferson State and then transfer to a 4-year institution to earn a bachelor’s degree.
- Jefferson State uses the Alabama Transfers agreement with 4-year institutions to guide students enrolled in these programs to take courses that are guaranteed to transfer to public institutions in Alabama.
What is Alabama Transfers?
- Alabama Transfers is a website where students can review fields of study in Alabama, browse transfer guides by major or university, and obtain an official transfer guide for your intended major. The official transfer guide will help you navigate through the first two years of coursework and prevent the loss of credit hours upon transfer to your selected public 4-year institution in Alabama.
What is a Career and Technical Program?
- Associate in Applied Science degree programs for students who plan to complete an associate degree and go directly into the workforce rather than transfer to a 4-year institution.
- Courses in these programs may not transfer to a 4-year institution as they are designed for employment rather than transferability. Each of these programs have a faculty advisor available to discuss their program in detail.
Transfer Hub
- Jefferson State’s Transfer Hub provides information and assistance for students transferring from Jefferson State to another college or university.
