Welcome and thank you for your interest in Jefferson State’s Registered Nursing program. It is our mission to prepare students to enter the nursing work force with an entry level nursing degree. We offer the Associate in Applied Science degree and prepare students to take the national licensure examination for registered nurses (NCLEX). We have four campuses that offer full-time courses to fit a variety of student needs.

Guidelines for Applying

• You can only submit one application, you cannot save and finish later.
• A bonus point will be awarded if you attend one of the Are You Ready for Nursing School? sessions hosted before each application deadline. For more information, Click here.
• Your ACT Score must be on file with admissions. To verify your ACT scores are on file in the admissions office, watch this YouTube video for instructions. If not present, email records@jeffersonstate.edu.
• All transcripts from all college attendance must be on file with admissions.
• All transcripts must be final. Note: ‘In Progress’ transcripts are not final transcripts. Email nursingadvising@jeffersonstate.edu if you have any questions.
• All High School transcripts must be on file with admissions. NOTE: HS transcript required only if you have not completed Bachelor’s level education (or higher) or if your ACT score is on file. ACT scores will not be accepted in place of college transcripts.

Checking Your Admission Status

• To check admissions status, email admissions@jeffersonstate.edu.
• Trouble logging into your MyJSCC account? Email helpdesk@jeffersonstate.edu.
  • Important: When emailing any of the above, please include your student number (A#) and D.O.B. in all correspondences. Due to the volume of applications, we cannot check for incomplete applications or missing documents prior to deadline. Upon completion of the application process, all applicants will be notified of status through Jeff State email only.

Feeling Ready? Register for one of the “Are You Ready for Nursing School?” Sessions

These sessions will be held virtually. Upon registering for a session, further details will be shared via email.
Attendance at one of the online sessions is highly encouraged. Attendees may attend any session regardless of which campus or program they plan to apply (you must register to attend a session). Registration is required and registration must include a valid email address.
