For Credit Course Registration Steps

Registration Steps

Now that you have been admitted, what’s next? Follow these steps:

1. New Student Orientation

Students are encouraged to attend NSO and schedule an appointment with an academic advisor. This will help be successful at Jefferson State – and beyond!

2. Placement Tests

Students can use high school grades, ACT scores, or the Accuplacer Placement Test for placement in Math and English. Placement Testing is free, but we recommend you wait until after you have graduated high school and sent in your transcript. Most recent graduates do not need to take the placement test.

3. Registration

Following a meeting with your advisor to plan your course selection, the next step is to confirm the registration dates, review the registration process and then sign up for your desired courses.

4. Pay Tuition

If you are not receiving financial aid, pay your tuition and fees in your myJSCC student portal before classes begin.

5. Parking Decal & Student ID

Go to Campus Police before the first day of class to get your parking decal and student ID. Be sure to bring a copy of your class schedule and your vehicle tag number.

6. Order Books

Check the hours for our two Campus Bookstores or order online.
